Kah Kah Fried Oyster (嘉嘉蚝煎) is a small stall at Lebuh Keng Kwee, diagonally opposite the wildly popular Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul. Obviously, the signature dish at Kah Kah Fried Oyster is its titular Fried Oyster (蚝煎).
Unfortunately we arrived a bit late (3:30pm), so the oysters have been sold out. Instead, we ordered a serving of Otak-Otak (鲤鱼包, RM3.00).
The Otak-Otak has been cooked in the steamer for too long. Therefore, it appears too soggy instead of a firm texture. Nevertheless, the sweet fish paste is still quite savory.
The stall opens at 11:00am. Next time, we should arrive earlier to try the Fried Oyster.
