Bridge Street Prawn Noodle

Bridge Street Prawn Noodle (正宗桥头福建面专卖店) is one of the more established Hokkien prawn mee stalls in George Town. The shop is located near a former wet market called Sia Boey (社尾).

Hokkien Prawn Mee (福建虾面, RM4.00) is served with spicy prawn broth. As per tradition, the noodle dish uses a mixture of yellow noodle (黄面) and rice vermicelli (米粉). The dish also contains prawns, pork slices, hard-boiled egg and fried shallots. I added pork ribs for RM2.00 more.

The prawn broth is not quite as tasty as I expected. But then again, this is just a matter of personal taste. The shop also sells Lor Mee (卤面) but did not try this dish today.
