Imperial Chinese Cuisine

Imperial Chinese Cuisine (御宝轩) is a restaurant at the sub-basement level of Prangin Mall. It is right next to Saffron and Pizzaiola, which are all under the same management.

Imperial Chinese Cuisine has a luxurious atmosphere, making the restaurant the perfect setting for business meals. As for customers who prefer some privacy, there are several semi-private dining rooms on the side.

Claypot Bean Curd (砂煲豆腐, RM15.00) is cooked with savory gravy and assorted vegetables. The claypot also contains prawns, shiitake mushrooms, straw  mushrooms and button mushrooms.

The next dish is Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs (糖醋排骨王, RM18.00). The pork ribs are stir-fried with capsicum and sweet-tangy sauce. The overall taste is simply irresistible.

Butter Prawns (奶油虾, RM25.00) are often served in banquet dinners. To my delight, the shrimps used are quite succulent. I also love the soothing aroma of curry leaves.

Deep Fried Mongolian Chicken (蒙古酥鸡, RM15.00) is seasoned with black pepper for a spicy kick. The dish is acceptable but I have seen better ones before.

Finally, Imperial Chef Special Fried Lychee (御宝炸金球, RM18.00) is a lovely dish indeed. The mayonnaise inside gives the snack a creamy mouthfeel.
