Boiling Steamboat & Dim Sum

Update: This business has ceased its operations.

Boiling Steamboat & Dim Sum (滚一滚回转火锅点心) is one of several steamboat restaurants at Elit Avenue. It is located right next to Sushi Mentai.

There are several pots at each table, allowing each diner to pick an individual soup. There are 4 types of soup to choose from: Signature Chicken Soup (滚一滚鸡汤), Herbal Chicken Soup (药材鸡汤), Pepper Pork Tripe Soup (胡椒猪肚汤) and Tom Yam Soup (东炎汤). I opted for Herbal Chicken Soup today.

The Personal Steamboat Set (RM21.00) comprises of pork slices (猪肉片), pork meatballs (猪肉丸), fish balls (西刀鱼丸), Taiwanese sausages (台湾香肠), scallops (扇贝), mussels (青蚝), shiitake mushroom (鲜香菇), enoki mushrooms (金针菇), fried tofu skin (炸腐皮), bak choy (小白菜), cabbage (高丽包菜) and carrot noodle (萝卜面).

Dipping sauces play an important role in steamboat. Customers can help themselves to various condiments at the common table. Recommended ones are coriander & chili sauce (芫茜小辣椒酸酱), and dried shrimp & chili sauce (虾米辣椒酱).

During peak hours, the restaurant uses a conveyer belt to deliver food to dining tables. The restaurant also offers steamboat in buffet style. The meal includes flow of drinks like orange juice and iced lemon tea.
